Deus Ex: Human Revolution Gameplay Footage
It’s been quite a week for fans of, shall we say, more cerebral first-person shooters – with Bioshock Infinite being announced, and now Square Enix have unleashed the first gameplay footage of the much anticipated Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
On this showing, Human Revolution is shaping extremely well, and looks to be drawing on the astounding original (2000) rather than the lacklustre sequel, Invisible War (2003).
The trailer showcases a number of gameplay elements; from a dizzying array of bionic nano-augmentations, from elbow-mounted batons, scatter-mines, x-ray vision and invisibility. The title’s RPG elements also come to the fore, with lots of dialogue and bustling streets full of NPCs. Oh…and the classic Deus Ex staple of sneaking through air vents also makes a return.
Overall, this is exciting stuff, especially for those who fondly remember the original devouring all their time a decade ago.
But enough of our yacking – cast your eyes over the trailer below.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is currently scheduled for release in February 2011 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and OnLive.
