Rising Star Games have today confirmed that No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle for the Nintendo Wii is all set for a European release at the end of April 2010.

Sequel to the quirky/bonkers original, in which players assumed the role of wannabe assassin Travis Touchdown, Desperate Struggle is promising more of the same but with improved visuals, a refined combat system, duel-beam sword weilding and (we hope!) more lawn-mowing/coconut collecting/litter-picking minigames!

The story will follow Travis on a mission to revenge the murder of his best friend, and to re-establish himself as the number one assassin on the United Assassins Association’s tables.

The original No More Heroes was a punk-rock gem, with producer Suda 51 relishing the opportunities presented by the Wiimote. Let’s hope that this sequel can live up expectations!
