Majesco announce 3D Wii shooter
Spearheaded by the movie industry (most recently with James Cameron’s Avatar) 3D is all the rage at the moment and looks to remain so for some time; it won’t be too long before we all have to trade in our costly HD TVs to upgrade to whichever 3D format wins the tech war. It was only a matter of time then then a 3D title would be appear on the most popular games console of this generation – namely the Wii – and Majesco games are set to take the plunge.
Attack of the Movies 3D is pitched as ‘first-ever 3D shooter designed exclusively for Wii’ and will be set across six movie-themed worlds. Coming complete with four pairs of 3D glasses (it will support up to four players) it looks to have the ‘novelty factor’ side of gaming covered!
The movie theme certainly seems like a sensible place for a foray into 3D entertainment – let’s just hope it has the gameplay to match! No screenshots are available at present, so instead we’ve included a picture of some 3D glasses to tide you over…
Watch this (sadly 2D) space for more details. Attack of the Movies 3D is scheduled for a European release during summer 2010.
