Red Faction: Guerrilla demo available now on XBL/PSN

Want to give Red Faction: Guerrilla a try before its June release? Looks like you’re in luck. Sign yourself up for a myTHQ account today and you’ll be given a key to download a single-player demo on a format of your choosing. There are only a limited number of keys available apparently, so be quick.

Guerrrilla is the third title in THQ’s Red Faction series, which sees lead character Alec Mason knocking down lots of buildings after rebelling against the original game’s allies, the Earth Defence Force.

The demo gives you the chance to experiment with the game’s “revolutionary Geo-Mod 2.0 technology”, which allows you to “tear down the enemy EDF presence brick by brick”. It’s also third-person, so if you were expecting Guerrilla to follow in the footsteps of its FPS predecessors, you’re in for a shock.

The game gained a cult following when information on it leaked last February, provoking lots of you to Photoshop pictures of Ostriches onto the game’s hammer weapon. Don’t know what I’m talking about? Head over to good ol’ NeoGaf.

Red Faction: Guerrilla releases on June 12th for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
