Do you remember the mid-90s film Hackers? It involved Angelina Jolie and Jonny Lee Miller hacking into an oil company before having the US Secret Service go out in force to hunt them down.

We don’t either, but after this week’s infection we might give it a watch.

Infection!? Yes, as much as it pains (and quite frankly, embarrasses) me to say, D+PAD was compromised over the weekend and infected with a nasty virus. If you use Chrome or Firefox, or came to us via Google, you’re bound to have seen the warnings.

After a painful four-day slog involving database backups, server scouring and early morning arguments, we’ve whipped out the bug spray out and finally gotten rid of it. We’ve also taken precautions to ensure that such a thing doesn’t happen again.

So, our heartfelt apologies for the downtime and any inconvenience caused. We missed posting as much as you missed reading. On with the show…
