FIFA 09 Ultimate Team is available to download now from Xbox Live Marketplace for 800 MS Points.

Ultimate Team is a new expansion for last year’s award-winning football game that allows players to collect, trade and play their way to global supremacy by building the ultimate football club from over 4,000 available stars or creating and developing themselves in the game to captain their team to glory.

Ultimate Team caused controversy earlier in the month when it was revealed that the 1.62GB update would be mandatory to all online-enabled FIFA 09 players. The update allows players to trial five games in the new Ultimate Team mode before being asked whether they want to purchase it.

The add-on is not yet available on PSN, though is expected in today’s PlayStation Store update.
