Capcom confirms Dead Rising 2
Capcom has confirmed that Dead Rising 2 is in development for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
The sequel to the 1.5 million-plus selling Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2 will take the franchise to a new level of zombie-killing fun with tens of thousands of zombies, the all new gambling paradise of Fortune City to explore and conquer plus a host of new in-game objects that can all be used as deadly weapons to stave off the zombie assault.
Dead Rising 2 is set several years after the infamous zombie invasion of Willamette. Unfortunately, the zombie virus was not contained at the conclusion of Dead Rising, spreading unchecked throughout the United States and Dead Rising 2 depicts a country where zombie outbreaks continue to strike.
Dead Rising 2 is being developed in partnership with up and coming Canadian developer Blue Castle Games. A number of members from the original Dead Rising team will be working alongside Blue Castle Games throughout the development process, including Capcom’s global head of research and development, Keiji Inafune, who as the game’s producer will play an active role in the project. A release window was not disclosed.
Capcom has stated that further details concerning the story and gameplay of Dead Rising 2 will be made available shortly, but in the meantime you can check out the first official screens below or watch the first ever footage on D+PAD TV.

One less reason to buy an xbox 360 in 2009 which has no good games coming out so sad.
I just hoping to see Frank West return, defiantly one of the most badass gaming characters.

HA we’ll see when Alan Wake comes out compadre . Then we’ll see those puppets dance then. The only reason you guys got Dead Rising 2 is because it sold so well on the Xbox 360 in the 1st place. If it wasnt for the economy we would’ve sing’d a diffrent tune
@Wolfy…yeah more like alan wait…face it that game is never going to come and how can that one game compete with sony’s first and second party games coming out…wow you people will get desparate for anything….and the PC version is always the best looking anyway….so run back in your hole where you belong lemning….and that’s not the reason dead rising is comimng to the ps3….its because capcom said they wont be doing anymore exclusives for any console…and it brings in the money….show’s how much you know

what do you mean xbox has no games in 09? it has heaps
just about every game on ps3 is on xbox. who cares that you have killzone 2, killzone 1 was a flop so why are all you ps3 freakz so excited for the sequel? i can tell you this, if halo 1 sucked no one would have cared about halo 2 or 3. i am playing lost and damned atm and its good, cant wait for dead rising 2 hope the 360 gets some exclusive’s
2009 has had plenty of good games come out:
1: Mirriors Edge
2: Gears of War 2
3: Resident Evil 5
Well, off that subject.
I Heard that Dead Rising 2 is taking place in An Asian Cascino, and I think that Frank West is Still in it.
