Killzone 2 – Multiplayer Maps Preview
Following on from our previous Killzone 2 multiplayer video feature, this time we take a brief look at each of the eight maps included on the Blu-ray disc.
Eight may not sound like an awful lot, but when they range from sandy deserts, derelict market squares, sleek army barracks and a Helghast outpost set aback a nuclear wasteland, the variety and expansiveness of each of the maps will undoubtedly be more than enough to keep your interest. And with more maps said to be included in future DLC packs, it’s clear that Killzone 2 will be every PS3 user’s online game of choice for a long time to come.

I was looking for something like this. Cheers.
They all look great and most importantly actually look fun to play. I’m loving the look of Helghan Industries and Visari Hammer. Can’t wait!
WOW
Pyrrhus Ris (the sandy one) and Radec Acadamy look the most interesting, but i’m blown away by the last one
jeeeeeeeez.
dosent look like it will be very good to actually play though sure graphics are stunning. but looks so much like a battfield map but theres no vehicals.
Shows how much you have researched, adamlee66.
Upon the release of Killzone 2, a patch will be soon to follow that will implement vehicles into multiplayer. It is rumored that this patch will also implement coop play, but this is not confirmed.
kj4860 shows how much you researched sony and GG have confirmed there are no plans for co-op in MP and SP mode not heard anything on vehicles in a while but imo vehicles wont be in the game espec after a couple of months i hate vehicles in MP anyway spoils the game any noob can come top once in a tank
WOW.. All of this in multiplayer online.. zomg bbq.
The game of forever. My halo, my counterstrike, my World of Warcraft..
Damnit 24 days.. still.
Now if only some, ONE,reviewer would dare anger the great money god of miscrosoft and actually admit that this is the online shooter to play over all others (console based at least), instead of pussyfooting around it, I’d be impressed by the reviewer.
The richness of detail holds up really well from close to far away. The effects of wind are really striking too.
Wow underwhelming.
Anyone know if they plan on mouse and keyboard support via a patch? I can’t play shooters with a controller, can’t stand the clunky movement and aiming.
Very nice! I can’t believe how large and diverse these maps are. Even while a single map may just be desert, there are many components to it that make it complete and very fun to play. Unlike most other shooters, it looks like these maps will offer a different and unique way of playing each round. I will be glad to get away from the predictable sniping and camping spots with these vast and beautiful environments. And the lighting is top notch!
wtf i didnt c anything special at all from these videos, its better in some ways then Halo 3 but its not goin to beat CoD anytime soon
@Mark
I would say that megamers.com did something to that extent.
“We’re surprised to see Killzone 2 blows our expectations out of the water with a memorable SP campaign and a stellar MP component. To put it short, this game makes Gears of War 2 look like a high school attempt at gaming and that is a HUGE compliment!”
Wow, the game looks simply amazing. I don’t want to sound like a fanboy, but I really hope this game helps save the PS3 because it is losing.
I’m thinking the gameplay will be somewhat of a mixture of Halo and COD:4. Let’s pray they can pull it off.
The game looks incredible. Let’s hope we see more exclusives at the same level of quality as Killzone 2. I was thinking about selling my PS3 and getting a 360 but this game changed my mind.
Just not enough variety, the industrial thing gets old fast! It also gives no idea as to the size of the maps.
