Codemasters has released its “8 Ball” premium content pack on Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network for the summer’s hit racer, Race Driver: GRID,

The 8 Ball pack adds eight new vehicles to the high-scoring title which can be used online and in the game’s ‘Race Day’ mode. We’re assuming that means you can’t use them in GRID’s single-player campaign, GRID World…

New cars include the McLaren F1 GTR, TVR Cerbera Speed 12, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, Honda S2000, Nissan GT-R (S-G2008), VW Nardo, Pontiac Firebird Trans AM and the Volvo C30.

Two new multiplayer events also feature, though unfortunately there’s no new tracks. Xbox 360 users will also be treated to four new Achievements worth 25 points each. There’s still no Trophy support for the PS3 version.

The pack’s yours for 800 Microsoft Points from Xbox LIVE Marketplace or £6.29 from PlayStation Store.
