GAME introduce online rental service

The UK’s largest video games retailer GAME has introduced an online rental service, allowing customers to rent video games directly from its website.

The service, which is similar to other online rental services such as Lovefilm, entitles customers to rent two games at a time with no late fees for a monthly cost of £14.99. A cheaper option is available for those only interested in renting one title at a time, at a monthly cost of £9.99.

“GAME Rentals is a new service from game.co.uk which allows you to borrow up to 2 games at a time for a small monthly subscription. There’s no late fees – when you want to try a new game just return one of the ones you’ve already played.” reads the GAME website.

“GAME Rentals is a great way to try your games before you buy them – and also explore new types of games that you maybe wouldn’t gamble a full-price spend on!”

But is it value for money? With Lovefilm offering two games at a time plus a selection of films for £13.99 a month, arguably not.

Nevertheless, if you’re interested in trying out the service with a 10 day free trial, go and take a look at GAME’s rental page.
