2008 marked the 30th Anniversary of the release of Space Invaders; a milestone that makes it extremely tempting to reminisce about where videogaming has taken us over the years. What fantasies have a few thousand pixels on a screen enabled us to live out? What roles have we been able to assume? What worlds have we travelled to that we didn’t even know existed?
