Epic has revealed an exclusive Gears of War 2 pre-order deal with Blockbuster, offering a free copy of the upcoming Gears of War comic to those that pre-order the highly anticipated title from the rental giants .

The comic, which is written by GoW2 writer Joshua Ortega, bridges the gap between the end of the first game and the beginning of the second, revealing what exactly happened after the Lightmass Bombing.

Blockbuster’s version of the comic also comes with an exclusive cover (pictured below), so if you’re a Gears fanatic and live in the US, get yourself down there.

There’s no word yet on whether the offer will be available here in the UK.

Gears of War 2 ships exclusively on Xbox 360 on November 7th.

No game beats how fun the first Gears of war was online. I still play it to this day and i don’t plan on stppoing! I got so into it that i was in a about 15 different clans on Gamebattles. When they announced Gears 2 i was super excited and made sure i pre-ordered the limited edition but once i actually got to play it i was really let down. They changed the controls and your character felt super heavy, I think i played it for about a week before i traded it in and got Gears 1 back. Epic said they fixed the heavy feel and different controls in Gears 3 but it was still terrible compared to the first game. I really hope that this one goes back to the days of Gears 1 where it actually took skill to win!VN:R_U [1.9.17_1161](from 2 votes)
