Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades – First details and screens

Vicarious Visions has released the first snippets of information on it’s upcoming DS sequel, Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades.

Decades is set to feature 28 songs – two more than the original’s 26 – thanks to improved compression technology. We found compression issues to be a key problem with On Tour when we reviewed it, so hopefully that improved technology will also stretch to superior audio quality.

Vicarious Vision also revealed that players will be able to stream songs between two DS units, which opens up all sorts of doors for future versions of the game. As a given example, different friends will be able to purchase different versions of the game, but they’ll all be able to rock out to the full library by streaming the music amongst themselves.

Activision also released the first four screenshots of On Tour Decades which you can check out below.

Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades goes on sale this Christmas exclusively on Nintendo DS.
