Microsoft has announced that a 60GB Xbox 360 will be launching across the UK on Friday 15th August priced at £199.99.

The new SKU is set to replace the previous 20GB ‘Pro’ packs, offering three times the storage space at no extra cost. It’s not yet known whether the 60GB hard drive will be available to purchase separately.

The revised console also upscales DVDs to a high definition resolution when using an HDMI cable – something the previous console didn’t do.

So if you’re in the market for an Xbox 360 and looking for plenty of space to install those games, mark Friday in your diary, or pre-order one now from Play.com for £179.99.
