HAWX slips into 2009, Tiberium follows

Ubisoft’s Tom Clancy’s HAWX and EA’s Tiberium have both slipped into 2009, it’s been revealed this morning.

Ubisoft’s answer to Namco Bandai’s Ace Combat will now not ship until early 2009 (between January and March to be precise), while EA’s squad-based C&C shooter won’t see store shelves until at least April of next year.

Further delays from EA come in the form of Battlefield Heroes, the ad-supported series spin-off, which now won’t be available to download until autumn. We’d originally hoped to be playing that this summer.

In brighter news, Ubisoft’s often delayed Brothers In Arms: Hell’s Highway will finally see a release on September 26th for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the publisher confirmed today. Gamers looking to pick that up would do well to stop by HMV. The music-giant is running an exclusive pre-order campaign offering up tactical maps and some sort of achievement guide. Check it out.
