SEGA has revealed that a Wii-exclusive sequel to Sonic and the Secret Rings is currently in development.

Titled Sonic and the Black Knight, the game promises to “take Sonic into a medieval world and arm him with a sword to aid in his effort to save the day.” Just what everyone wanted then…

It’s being developed by Sonic Team who are also working on the fantastic looking Sonic Unleashed, due for release this Winter.

Sonic and the Black Knight will hit stores next Spring, and if you want more information it looks like you’ll have to get hold of a copy of Nintendo Power, which as you can see from the scan below, looks to have the scoop. Or you could wait for the inevitable scans.
