Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

Delayed. A word strong enough to reduce the most ardent gamers to gibbering wrecks as a wave of disgruntled grumbles and groans emanate across gaming forums. In the constantly evolving games market, a lot of things can change in a year. And they have. Halo 3 kick-started next-gen online warfare with its extensive array of gameplay modes and customisable options, while Activision’s very own Call of Duty 4 continues to dominate the online charts with its refreshingly fast-paced action. Dragging its heels, kicking and screaming its way into stores almost a year after it was originally due comes Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, a console conversion of a PC title that, despite a promising build-up, didn’t exactly set the online world alight when it launched amidst the Halo-hype last September…
