The logic-defying stratospheric success of the Monster Hunter and Dynasty Warriors games in Japan (to give just two examples) is proof that while Western gamers will happily devour derivative first-person shooters, our friends in the East are happy holding up their end of the stereotypical gaming culture cliches.
